I wanna cry. I’m only into F2, but I’m so nervous for this section. I finished F1, read the chapter twice, did all the hw twice, sim, read the note cards (Becker), and made my own notes, and feel just about okay with the 1st chapter.

I have to do that for all other chapters, but I feel like I won’t have enough time. I guess, I should take my time and study for it well, rather than rush and fail. I know it’s not impossible, but it seems so overwhelming.

Just had to get it out of my system:)

    Good Luck to all studying!!!

I just started F-4 doesnt seem too bad. From what I hear F3, F5, and F7 are the beasts. Yet IFRS and F9, F10 are the most heavily tested.

    AUD- 71, 73, 87 Done!!!!!
    BEC- 75
    FAR- 72, 77
    REG- 77

I'm on F2, and omg the questions in passmaster are so different from what they go through in the lecture. Or is that just me?

Ugh, not looking forward to F3…I used to think REG was a beast, but for me, it'll be FAR. REG seemed logical, this doesn't….

Yeah that last section in F2 does not translate from the book to the problems. I would suggest reading that section in a intermediate accounting textbook.

I thought the calculations in BEC were ridiculous, but this is just insane, every chapter is giving me issues.

I'm on first section, and that doesn't translate at all…but it does have lot of good MCQs. Can't imagine how rest of the chapters will be. And I thought REG was hard? Man, REG is piece of cake next to this….I guess this is what torture feels like LOL.

Was looking for this post. I'm totally overwhelmed by the material. Taking @ the end of May and still stuck on F2. Not sure if I should cancel the test since with work don't know if I can get through all the material.

    A - 84

    F - no study = 67; May 15 = 87 & done

@Tina82, Thank God, I'm not the only one who's kinda “behind.” I'm starting F5 while also going back and reading previous chapters and redoing MCQs. It's really sad, because I'm not even working….yet have no motivation. It's so hard:(

As far as postponing your exam, it really depends on you. Do you think you'll have at least two weeks to review? I think those two weeks are essential. If you won't have time for review, then maybe you should postpone. But again, it depends on you and how much time you have. Many people pass it with 4weeks of studying, I'm just not one of them(:

    Btw, F2 is brutal…F3/F4 isn't nearly as bad. F5 is leases….ugh.

    Good Luck, keep us updated!

CPA628 – The questions in F2 are killing me for matching, not the concept, just the way they ask. Will give it a few more days and consider doing BEC in the same time frame and then going back to FAR with more time. On the upside, if F3 and F4 are better that's encouraging. Have you taken BEC by any chance?

Not sure if this helps but if I were you I would set a strick study schedule and stick to it for ex. 4 hrs twice a day with breaks etc. That way you have study time and the rest do other things and not think about studying. Looking back, even with working, I was doing better if I said, I'm studying 3 hrs wherever I get to. That said I did alot specific number of chapters per week and adjusted accordingly. Try it for a few days.

Yes, for sure! I'm def. changing my study habits and getting serious about this. No more slacking off!

And yes, I def. agree about F2. The way they ask questions is completely different from the reading…at least IMO. First section in F2 is brutal and it really confused me the way they ask certain questions. However, reading the chapter multiple times def. helps.

Nope, haven't taken BEC yet. Are you trying to do both of them in May? That's quite a challenge! Good Luck!:)

No way! Just posted about maybe rescheduling. Original plan was BEC and then FAR. Now I'm just confused about what to do. I guess my signature is out of date.

Yeah, my original plan was that as well….but ended up changing it around! Now it's FAR then BEC! If you are just starting out with FAR, then I would leave that and start BEC. That will be easier to finish in time to take it at the end of May since it has half the lectures FAR has. Just my $0.02.

I'm getting the lowest homework quizzes ever! Grr.

    B 2/12 87
    A 11/11 90
    R 8/11 86
    F 5/12 88

TBH there's nothing about FAR that is all that hard. Keep that in mind as you move through the material. Yes absolutely it takes time..but honestly I believe a monkey could do it given enough time. And even some people that have passed I would say have close to the intelligence level of a monkey…LOL 🙂

Golden rule of these exams is “hours=points.” Pay your dues and you'll do fine.

Using Becker, Ninja Notes, and CpaReviewForFree

    FAR - 87 (2/17)
    REG - 89 (4/21)
    AUD - 89 (5/31)
    BEC - 89 (7/11)

Just decided to take BEC instead of FAR based on advice and gut feeling simply due to time constraints. For me chapter a week or a bit more is a reasonable goal without killing myself (sleeping semi-normal hours without which I can't do anything). Couldn't do that for end of May.

Edit: don't mean to discourage anyone! I just can't do it myself in 5.5 weeks.
