Hi
I just took the FAR exam and found the simulations to be more difficult than anything I encountered with the Wiley book and CD. For each tab in my simulation I had to do journal entries, some more lengthy than others. Each tab was unrelated to the previous tab so I had to get acquainted with a whole different set of facts and situation. I think if I had encountered similar examples when I was studying, I would have done better.
I feel confident about the MC questions even though I encountered some facets of topics I was not familar with, even though I had studied the topic. They may have been the pretest questions which get thrown out though. I feel though the MC questions were similar in format as to the Wiley ones. I was familiar with how the information was being presented.
Is it normal to have all journal entries for a simulation? Are the tabs always unrelated topics?
Anyway, I am preparing to take the FAR again because I have a bad feeling about it. Is there somewhere I can see more simulation examples? I feel if I continue to study the way I did I could find myself unprepared again.
