Should I study for the next section?

I just took AUD today and I only have FAR left after that. I’m confident I didn’t pass AUD. Should I study for FAR or wait for AUD results? I still have one year of my 18 month window left.

I would move on and study for FAR personally. There are so many things that can factor into whether or not you passed (number of pre-test questions, weighting of the questions you got right/wrong) that you can't really know until you see that piece of paper. I was confident I failed FAR and REG and passed both. I was confident I passed AUD the first time I took it, and I failed.

I agree. I left the FAR exam and felt horrible. I didn't think there was a chance that I passed it (my simulations were ridiculous). My eyes almost popped out of my head when I got my score a few weeks ago.

I wouldn't waste time waiting on your score. If you didn't pass you can always go back and review again. It will surprise you how much you've retained.

I'm waiting on audit, too. Good luck to all of us!

I agree with thenarvin. I would go on to FAR. You just never know until you get your score. I failed AUD went on to FAR passed FAR did a 3 week cram on AUD after 4 months of not looking at an AUD question and passed AUD. It really was like a review, I was amazed on how much I retained. Don't sell yourself short on your ability unless you did not study at all. There is hope until you get your score.

Not sure how much study time you might need but most need 15-20 hours week for 8 weeks for FAR. If you study more then you can do it in less time. If you start study for FAR now and plan to take first week of May (approx 8 weeks). Even if you fail AUD you could do a 3 week cram of about 60 hours and retake at the end of May. It is doable, because that is exactly what I did last year.

I had the 4 month gap between AUD exams because I was pushed to wave 2 waited 70+ days for my score and did not start studying FAR right away. My mistake but in the end it did not hurt.

    Good Luck.

I'll vote with the move on to FAR crowd. I've found the worse you feel coming out of the exam the better you do. I was sure I failed or barely passed REG and I ended up with a 97. Like Lee says as well, you can always go back and review and get back to where you are now quickly.
