Shall I reschedule or just keep pushing?

Alright, so I have two weeks left till test day and have done roughly 260 Wiley questions over the course of Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday it was NP and Govt, and I had about 61% correct on both. Felt reasonably good about that since I didn’t know anything about either subject until four weeks ago. Last night was 100 PP&E questions, which I always felt was a strong area for me, but I was killed. 61%. IFRS and R&D q’s killed me. It’s easy enough for me to identify and work on the problem areas I had on PP&E, but I only have two weeks and we all know that it is important not to get tunnel vision. Now here is the thing: On Roger questions it is not uncommon for me to score in the 80s.

So what do I do? Do I keep pushing hard for the next two weeks and just take this exam, or does it appear that I have some serious holes that likely can’t be filled in just two weeks? I’m not afraid of taking FAR and possibly not passing the first time out, but I don’t like going into something when I’m clearly not going to be ready. However, since this is my first test, it is hard for me to gauge just how ready or not ready I really am.

Just keep powering through with lots of MCQs. Definitely budget extra hours for these next two weeks. I've heard this from Jeff and I think it's great advice and I also did something similar…take each section and do sets of 20 MCQs until you reach about 75% and then move on to the next section. I actually made a list of my weakest areas and then of my stronger areas…I'd do sets of 10-20 sets of MCQs on my weak areas until I felt I had a decent enough % and then on my strong areas I'd do sets of 20-30 cumulative MCQs so I'd keep everything fresh. Also, every day read notes, flash cards, listen to audio…whatever you have to make sure you're constantly reinforcing the material. I see that you use Roger so definitely make sure you have notes on all the J/Es he's covered in his lectures and make sure you're using them to work out MCQs…this helped me tremendously, especially for the SIMS. Unfortunately Roger's questions are a little too easy compared to other test banks so an 80% in his test bank could easily be a 60% on another…I used NINJA for FAR and my scores were super low…like in the 60s which can really mess with you just keep working them and you'll be grateful at the end that you're using a harder test bank and exposing yourself to different questions. Good luck!

2 weeks is enough time to make a world of difference. Especially since we're at the end of a testing window, I'd say take do a lot of MCQs over the next 2 weeks and then take it and see how it goes. Worst case scenario you take it again next window; if you reschedule, you'll be taking it next window anyway. However, if G&NP is one of your weakest areas and you're at 60% or so with 2 weeks to go, I'd say you're in good shape. Your higher Roger scores are a good sign, too, if that was on your first time through the questions; however, if it was a 10th time through the questions, then I'd be concerned that you'd memorized Roger's questions.

@Lilla. That's a relief. First time through on the Roger questions. And on the rare occasion that I have ever remembered a question, I make myself calculate it to find the correct answer. If I'm unable to do that, then I intentionally select the incorrect answer and move on.
