I am in my final semester — 5 courses left.

I just have absolutely no motivation to do any of this B/S anymore. The classes are a joke after passing CPA exams, I am doing no homework at all, bought no books, go to class with only a pencil and don’t plan on studying a minute for any exams.

I just see no point to this nonsense, Im on contract for public accounting in August and just want to finish up my CPA exams.

WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY, I HATE YOU 150 CREDIT RULE

Hang in there, I was in the same boat just over a year ago. And it really does take every bit of determination you can muster to get through it, but you will!

oh my god this thread was built for me. I can't stand academia anymore lol. I feel like I'm in high school and I just want to flip the teacher off and walk out. I have three classes left and all require lengthy papers and discussion — taking the CPA exam definitely supersedes those things and it's really hard to remember to care about school. I can't wait to get the hell out of here. The worst part is knowing that one month into starting with the Big 4 I'm going to be BEGGING for my cushy student life back. Grass is always greener in the fickle human brain.

The 150 credit rule is just plain dumb. It requires kids to shell out tens of thousands of dollars for a degree that most employers couldn't care less about once you become a CPA. I was able to squeeze 150 into my undergrad and avoid doubling my student loans, fortunately.
