    Hi Everyone,

I am taking FAR for the 2nd time around. First time taking exam I studied for about 2-3 weeks while working full-time and took the test practically winging it before the window closed to see if I got lucky and passed (I know wishful thinking). I took the month of July off to re-study and taking it July 27th. Has anyone gotten a really low score before on their first try and did well on the 2nd? If so, what did you do different? What was your technique? I scored a 59 and believe that the 16 points I need is a huge jump and now im questioning if that is possible. I am getting nervous. Thoughts?

    FAR – 59, 7/27

    AUD – 75- PASSED

    REG – 68, 81- PASSED

    BEC – 65, 69, 78- PASSED

2-3 three weeks while working full time is hardly enough. With a full-time job, I would allow myself good 6-8 weeks to get ready for FAR.

All I did was basically go through the book (Gleim) and did all the questions as I went. (around 600 in total). Then I think I also did around 7-9 simulations and that was enough.

I really think that with some serious studying getting the sixteen points should be very feasable.

    FAR - 85 November 2011
    AUD - 81 January 2012
    REG - 68 March 2012
    BEC - 86 April 2012
    REG - 92 July 2012

2-3 weeks of study for FAR (especially while working full-time) is grossly insufficient. If you got a 59 with that amount of study, and have properly prepared this time around, you have a very good chance of picking up well more than the 16 points you need.

    FAR 92 1/3/12
    AUD 93 2/2/12
    BEC 89 2/28/12
    REG 86 7/16/12

    Waiting on REG

when i first took FAR i wasn't really focused and i was thinking about other tests, then the second time i really focused for 4 weeks and put in a ton of time whenever i could with still full time job (MCQs like crazy and ninja notes), and hopefully this last time i improved just a little bit more to put me finally over the edge

    BEC 73, 71, 79 (1/3/12)
    AUD 48, 70 (1/31/12), 85 (4/9/12)
