How picky do you think they are about rounded numbers in the SIMs?

For instance, if I use the formula function in the SIMs I may get slightly different answers than if I were to use the calculators. (e.g. I type “=700000*.7” into the answer box and I get 489,999.9999…. versus when I put 700000*.7 it into the calculator I get 490,000).

Do you think I’d get that part of the SIM wrong if I were to use the unrounded version on the actual exam? (Or vice versa?)

The sims will give you instructions. It will say something like, “Round all answers to the nearest X.”

Btw – 700,000 x .7 will always be 490,000. No need to round.
