Curious to know of anyone who has used this or similar product for a retake with successful results. I will be retaking FAR for a third time. I have used Becker text, Ninja Notes/Audio and Wiley MCQ for my first attempt and MCQ Becker text, Ninja Notes/Audio and Ninja MCQ for my recent attempt. My scores ended up 73 and 72. I’m searching for suggestions for getting over the “hump”. I have recently dug up my college text books for intermediate accounting to get a different approach. I appreciate any suggestions or ideas, I am retaking in April and am preparing through this busy season (good times!!).

What were your trending scores in NINJA? Did you get the review stage?

My average trending score was 74.8% on the 2015 version and I did not get to the review stage (nearly 60% of the way). I believe there were 350-400 questions not attempted. I switched from the 2014 to the 2015 version with about 3-4 weeks prior to my test date. For this next attempt I renewed my subscription for the Ninja MCQ 2015, I still believe that it is an excellent tool.

I don't believe you need more products – I would repeat exactly what you did to get the 73 (many people end up scoring lower when they cut corners on a retake) and make sure you get your trending up in the 80s and aim for the review stage – then take your exam.

Spend the extra $200-$300 on a nice set of headphones to study with instead 🙂
