All the reviews of Rogers CPA Review I read online seems to say the lectures are great but the software questions are too easy. I’m working through FAR right now and the CPA Exa questions are kicking my butt.
First pass will get me 40-60%, usually hitting 80% by the end of the first pass through the questions, but some of the curve balls still get me.
    Is this normal?

His course also recommends doing each question 2-3x. I am not sure how you would go back through the question to effectively know you are hitting the same question 2-3 times, as their only options are questions I have not seen before, questions marked, or questions answered incorrectly. It’s an interesting process.

    Edit:
Total of 383 questions through the first 8 sections, trending approx 82.5%, so 316 correct 67 incorrect. Focusing only on MCQ’s so far.

ive read that from folks around here as well from time to time and ive only been using roger for the two sections i've taken. I found that I was trending around 70 – 80% on rogers IPQs and fared much better than that on both exams I've taken thus far. Waiting for AUD score release tomorrow so ill have a better answer then….AUD was the one I did the worst at, averaging around a 70 cumulatively on all IPQs.

Studying REG right now and am on chapter 13 I think. So far trending at about a 77%. I think his IPQs so far have been more than sufficient. I am considering buying the ninja MCQ package from this site for FAR depending on the results I get for AUD tomorrow. Since that will hopefully be my last exam I am going to push it back a month to give me time to do 3 or 4 weeks of ninja MCQ hammering out before I sit for FAR.

So far I have been nothing but impressed and happy with roger.

    Good luck to you

I'll second what Tommy said. I've used exclusively Roger, and for two sections at least, it's been fine. I've cycled through the MCQ and Sims twice. Generally speaking, I tested all the questions once while going through the material, and then at the end, retested all the ones I had answered incorrectly. There was enough of a gap between testing them the first time and testing them the second time that I didn't really remember them. My scores were usually in the 50-70 range on the first pass and 70-90 on the second. Average was probably high 60, low 70 on the first pass and low-mid 80 on the second. Likewise, I performed better on the actual exam relative to those scores, so I don't really buy that his questions are easier than the exams.

The sims are the only place where I began to get really familiar with the questions, because the way he scores the sims is to mark them wrong if any part of them is wrong.

To summarize, I tested everything using show only problems I haven't seen. Once there was no more under that selection, I tested all problems answered incorrectly. Then as a final review I ran practice quizzes across all sections unrestricted.

    Good luck dude.

I believe a lot of his questions are CPA bank Q's. I never noticed a big difference from when I studied for BEC using Becker.

I am in the same scenario. 50-70% on the practice quizzes, work my way up to maybe about 80% per section if I have the time. Did you guys pass this way, or did you realize you needed to work up to 80% per section every time? Need to pass before REG changes. FAR in about 3 weeks, had about 25 weeks to break in all my books and study for FAR before.

I would try to do every question he has once and see how your scores are looking.
50-60% is not so hot, but 70-80% and i think the odds are in your favor.

the first 3 posters in this thread passed all 4 parts, with the lowest score of an 84.
that says something i think. I was 4 for 4 and tommy was as well. not sure about the third.
