I have the 2009 Becker books and some of the 2010 Wiley books. For Audit I noticed there was not much of a difference between the two books. Is there a big difference in any of the material covered in the 2010 Becker books than the 2009 Becker books? Is it worth getting the new 2010 Becker books?

I got the 2009 ones via pdf for like $15 so it was not a big investment. If I can find those again I will definitely get them for 2010 but I have not come across them as of yet.

In my opinion – probably not. I purchased a set of the 2009 Becker materials early this year and compared them with a friends set that she used from 2006. I flipped page by page through the BEC book and found no changes in the text. None…the only things that changed were things were formatted differently (bullet points to #'s) or a review question at the end of a chapter was omitted or added. I wouldn't worry about the change from 2009 to 2010.

However…next year with IFRS being added and the general format changing – new materials are absolutely essential.

Thanks DU I appreciate the response. I had similar experience when comparing the 2008 Becker to 2009 Becker material. Just wanted to ensure at least for this year it would not change too much.
