If BLaw is only 20% of the exam, why does Becker put so much emphasis on this? Should I keep focusing on tax mainly, and understand the basic concepts of BLaw?

I’m starting to feel very discouraged… 🙁 Any help/ advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m using Becker 2011 with updates.

While the actually amount of blaw questions you see may consist of only 20% of the exam, there is a wide amount of information they could pull their questions from. Tax is a much lengthier portion of the exam, but you should still put the same quality effort into studying blaw. You can't cut any corners for this exam.

Yeah. I'm have the same issue with blaw. But if you think about it, sims are only tax. Since 60% of your grade is MC and 20% of the test is blaw, only about 12 of 72 questions will come from blaw. 12 questions out of 3 chapters worth of material is pretty crazy. I would focus more on tax because sims are 40% and consists all of tax. I'm hoping this strategy works out.

Thanks for the advice guys! I will definitely go through all of the material, but mainly focus on tax. I've taken it twice now, and the SIMS have absolutely killed me.

I also have NINJA notes and Wiley test bank. Does anybody have any suggestions on what subjects to cover in what studying material? I heard NINJA notes do a good job with BLaw.
