I wanted to make sure I’m understanding this correctly since I’m sort of confused on the way Becker structured the info in the book. To me, they made it seem like medical expenses (exceeding 10% AGI) are added back to regular income.

You are allowed to deduction: Residence mortgage interest, charitable contribution, medical expenses exceeding 10% AGI.

You are not allowed to deduct, must add back: Taxes, interest (mortgage interest not used to buy, build, improve home), investment interest, misc deduction subject to 2% floor, and exemptions (personal & standard deduction)

Anyone know where I can get more practice for AMT for individuals since there are only 5 questions in the passmaster software for this area? I’m in the final review stage and this is one of the areas I’m kind of iffy on.

You can try cpareviewforfree, its really free, just sign up and you are good to go. If i remember correctly it has about 12-15 mcq's on AMT for Individuals. Good ones.

If not, you can google AMT for individuals and you should see some questions on it.
