I need to start studying for REG…but it’s busy season and I know I’m not going to be able to get a ton of studying done. Is april or may a realistic time to take it?

FAR: FAILED [64]; Retaking May 23rd

I don't see why not. May is probably the better of the two. If you sat at the very end of the month, you could still get in 6 weeks if you started around the 17th of April. If you are a tax person, that would seem like a great time to take it while it was still fresh in your mind.
