so i was told that i will be contacted in january … i got an e-mail after the phone screening telling me to keep in touch.

I am planning to send an e-mail to inform her that i passed my first two cpa tests …

would the subject : “Keeping in touch” be a good one ?

How ironic. I had the same exact situation recently. The recruiter sent me an email:

Thank you for chatting (was her subject):

Thanks for your time. If you think of anyone let me know. And lets stay in touch for the future.

I replied: I will keep you posted if I do think of anyone. I hope you do find someone bright for that role. I really seems like a challenging and rewarding role.

Good news. I passed the 1st CPA Audit section.

She responded to congratulate me. This recruiter was looking to fill an accounting position that does not even require a bachelor's degree – something that I'm not looking for at the moment as my current position is the same level and pay as the next one offered.

In your situation, you can state in the subject status of my CPA progress. I wouldn't say Keeping in touch – which may throw her off. Just a thought.
