[FAR74]

Hello all,

I just found out I received a 74 on financial. I prepared for 1.5 months using becker. I did the lectures, read the book once or twice, and did all the mcq’s twice-three times. I did the sims, but not all of them… I am not sure how to re-study.

My score report was as follows:

Framework & Standards (17-23%) Stronger

Financial Statement Accounts (27-33%) Comparable

Specific Transactions/Events (27-33%) Weaker

Governmental (8-12%) Comparable

Not-for-profit (8-12%) Stronger

Multiple Choice (60%) Comparable

Simulations (40%) Weaker

I am planning on re-reading everything first, and then doing all the multiple choice questions at least one time. I do work full time (and barely have any time after work since I am exhausted). I am planning to retake first week of Jan. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I got a 74 on my REG retake :(. I really don't like this section and now I have to take it for a third time.

Alright… the big day is soon… Jan 4th. Up to this point, all I have done is read in detail F1-F6, and halfway through F7. For the first time I am taking detailed notes, and JEs. I understand everything much better this way. I never took notes for the other 3 parts, but I felt like I didn't need too…

My dilemma is this… up to this point I've only read and have done notes. I have F7-F10 left. I might just skip 10, since last time and many of my friends said they had 0-1 questions from 10, and so did I. I am not sure if I should continue reading and taking notes on F7-F9, or just read them, and do all F1-F9 questions in 2-3 days… All help/advice is appreciated 🙂

Make sure you take advantage of the authoritative literature on all of the SIMs. When I took FAR (can't say the same for REG), I found if you looked up key words/phrases from the question in the authoritative literature, you'd have an answer, or at least a direction to go in.
