Im supposed to take FAR this thursday. I have gone through all lectures and questions twice and am still not doing good on becker simulated tests. Im averaging about 22/30 on each MC testlet.

I have been studying for about 8-9 weeks, I just cannot seem to remember all of the little things necessary. My problem areas are mainly pensions, nonmonetary exchanges and cash flows which I just cannot master. I dont know what I should do these last few days to ensure performing at my best. I think the uderlying discouragement is hurting me. This is my last exam. Any advice? Thanks guys

I have been studyin' for almost 12 weeks, I still don't feel confident. The more I study, the more I forget, and the more I regret.

Therefore, I rescheduled my test from april 30 to May5. Have faith in you and that's all you could do!

I never did feel completely confident with FAR. Keep plugging away at your weak areas until your test. FAR is a nasty beast.

Hi! I haven't studied FAR yet, but I have found on the other sections that the Becker questions tend to be more difficult than the real exam. You have strong scores on the other sections, so you definitely know how to study. Keep working the MCQs and reviewing your notes and go into the exam with confidence on Thursday!

i gave up on non monetary and just said screw it, i will take the risk. Of course there were either 3 or 4 m/c on that – UG! the SIRAGE thing really worked for me on pension costs, so no problem with those. Cash flows not too difficult either. Mainly non monetary and foreign currency stuff that I cannot get my head around. The key for cash flow is just remembering the categories and the difference b/t cf for gov versus non gov.

I was never confident when I took FAR. Also its important to remember that there are only so many questions. They can't test everything as in depth as the review does.

Schus, I agree with u that they cant test is depth…. but the problem is the way these exams are framed….I dont know about FAR (appearing in May) but the other exams that i appeared for …in each of those exam every section of MCQ throws in question on the same topic which is your weakest area …i guess, how the Multiple choice work is that it draws questions from the same pool over and over again in every section of the exam for which u had chosen a wrong answer in the previous section.

It happened with me in REG and BEC….i saw same kind of question (a little different with the numbers) in each section of the MCQ…It was frustrating to see same thing over and over again…its like as if THEY know that i dont KNOW THAT….

I maybe wrong ..but this is what i think…so u cannot underestimate any topic…

Just curious if anyone else felt the same way??????…..i would like to know.
