Re-Studying For FAR: back to the start or pick up where I

I had originally planned to take FAR in late April. Due to work commitments I was unable to do so, and have now rescheduled for July.

I had finished with the first five chapters (I’m using Becker) before I quit studying. My question is: do you suggest starting back at the beginning or starting in the middle with the chapters I hadn’t yet worked on? I certainly understand that I will need to review the first five, but I felt pretty comfortable with that material and am thinking it might be best to get the stuff I hadn’t yet looked at down and then go back to review what I need.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    FAR - 92 (7/13)
    AUD - 98 (10/13)
    REG - 92 (7/14)
    BEC - 95 (8/14)

It sounds like you are fairly confident about the material you already covered. With that in mind, I would suggest that you keep moving through the material so you can get to doing MCQ's. If you feel you need to do a quick review, then do that at the end. Spending quality time on MCQ's is more important than re-reading sections or re-watching videos in my opinion.

I agree with 10key. I took a six month break from AUD to take BEC and REG and when I got back to AUD, I skimmed the pages for a few minutes to remind myself of what I had seen previously and then plowed ahead through the new material. I made up for it in the end by doing extra MCQ from the first chapters to make sure I had them down.

    REG - 87
    BEC - 81
    AUD - 80
    FAR - 81 AND DONE!!

I would recommend that you utilize Becker progress tests to see where you are actually at with this material. Do a random test on each of the first five chapters and then a progress test on the entire five. As a matter of fact, this would be a good strategy for the rest of your time studying. Try to do this each time at the beginning of your study session,

    Best wishes!
