If I had more time I would do all the questions in the Wiley Test Bank, master journal entries, and do every simulation I can get my hands on.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"

@ Dona When that happen to me, I would definitely go with NINJA notes and audios, to supplement.

You are half way done, is just a bit to improve.. Good luck!!

I totally understand how you feel. FAR was the first test I took and I failed with a 74. For my re-take I reverted back to how I studied for tests in high school/college. I would watch lecture videos once, and then re-read the chapters and take notes based on material I highlighted from the lectures. I would sometimes make flash cards for harder to understand concepts. I considered this material the “must know” items. Instead of going back through the books I would just make sure my notes were thorough and only go back and study these.

(It worked for 3/4 sections after that. I can't seem to pass AUD because I convinced myself I didn't need to study as that's what I do for a living. I used my method for the 3rd time and am awaiting my score. I think I finally got over the hump though).

    FAR - 74 (1/5/2013); 80 (5/30/2013)
    BEC - 81 (7/21/2013)
    AUD - 72 (8/30/2013); 71 (10/14/2013); 79(1/10/2014)
    REG - 85 (12/5/2013)

Also, a great study strategy I read about and implemented would be to study in increments of 25 minutes. I would take a 5 minute break after every 25 minutes of studying. After the third 25 minute session, I take a 25 minute break. I definitely felt like I retained information better and wasn't being inefficient on time.
