Question Re: Expiration of credit for a section

I’ve been reading these boards for quite some time and find the information on this site to be very helpful, however, this is my first official post.

I began studying in November and began testing in January. I passed my first three sections on the first attempt and just found out earlier this week that I failed FAR with a 73. I don’t lose credit for my first section until 7/31/13 so I intend to be done with FAR long before then, but I still wanted to ask the following for general knowledge in the event that this does come down to the wire.

Hypothetically, if my first section were to expire on 7/31/13 and I sat for FAR at the very beginning of that same window, assuming I pass, but I don’t receive my score until mid August 2013 do I maintain credit for my first section being that I sat prior to the expiration date or would I lose credit for my first section being that my passing score did not post until after the 7/31/13 expiration date?

Any info would be greatly appreciated…Thanks

In that case you would receive credit for FAR. You just have to sit for the exam and pass (when those scores come out) before your credit expires.
