Question about Putting CPA on LinkedIn profile (living/looking out of state)

My question deals with putting CPA after the last name on LinkedIn if living/looking for a job out of state (that is, out of the state in which you’re currently licensed).

For example, let’s say my CPA license was in New Hampshire. But I’m living and looking for a job in the New York area.

MY QUESTION: Can I put on LinkedIn: First Name, Last Name , CPA with “Greater New York City Area” listed underneath it?

or do I have to put: First Name, Last Name , CPA (New Hampshire) with “Greater New York City Area” listed underneath it?

Now in this example, my concern would be that I wouldn’t want to be seen as holding myself out as a CPA in New York when I’m not licensed there.

I’ve seen people on linkedin who do this anyway (put CPA after name while based in a state they’re not licensed in) but if they do, I’m assuming it’s probably because the area they say they’re based out of is in a substantially equivalent state or something (meaning that they have mobility privileges anyway so they dont need a reciprocal license)

    Any thoughts?
