Anyone on here who currently works/worked for a public accounting firm that required A LOT of travel? This week will be my fourth week out 🙁 During busy season, I will be out for seven weeks in a row. I started three months ago in the audit department.

I've been with a Big 4 firm since September and I have only been gone a total of 4 weeks. I have 2 weeks of travel during busy season, but the rest of the clients I'm on are in my city. There is another associate in my class who has traveled almost the entire time since we started in September. At my firm at least, it just seems to be luck of the draw as to whether you travel or not.

And this is why I joke at work (I'm at a manufacturer) that the auditors who come in are barely old enough to drive. Couldn't ever do that with 2 kids at home.

Recent grad, no gf currently, don't care about being home, I dont mind the travel at all. I think it's exciting to be moving all around the country for work. That's my current mindset, I am sure it will change in about five or six years.
