[FARE]

Hi all.

I just recently had my FARE NTS to expire in September and I have yet to start studying for FARE as this is my first exam and probably will be the only one I complete in 2010. I want to know if it is worth me paying for another NTS as I am afraid that if I do reapply and pay the amount for the NTS i won’t have many options to sit for FARE in november allotting me the 6-8 weeks I need to accurately prepare.

Any thoughts?

That's what I want to do, however, my concern is not whether or not i should take it but whether or not there will be any seats at the prometric centers that are far enough into the testing window for me to take it….

really depends on your area. I know my prometric center tends not to fill up until a week before and even then there's “weird times” open… but I've heard others who fill up the month prior so… ask people in your area?

florida candidate is right. it depends on your area. i didn't schedule reg until 4 days before taking my exam because i knew there's always people that drop out at the last minute (though, i studied as if i was taking it by that date). but then again, that's a risk i was willing to take – which i'm glad i did because i passed!

You can check seat availability on the Prometric website to give you an idea of whether seats are filling up.

I know there will be some lag time between when you sign up and actually getting your Id number where spots will disappear. But it might help you make your decision if you see a bunch of spots available in your area.

I doubt you will run out of seats.. there are usually 2 testing times in a day AND usually there are multiple sites.. in another words there is usually a seat open somewhere.. .within driveable distance.
