    I'll be done with governmental and non profit this next week or so, then strategizing my review process. One thing I want to do is write down all the parts to the financial statements on slips of paper and then arrange them in order so that I can recreate the statements as they should be. Also to work on journal entries, IFRS, and practice the research questions as I just got my NTS and have not done any of them.

    You should focus on working on JEs. Hit IFRS as hard as you can. I suggest the Wiley book….seems like the best option for $50.

    This is my first exam. I am having a hard time on how to study for it. I have Yaeger HS, I take notes, and I have the Ninja Notes, but how can I really learn all of this? Just read it over and over?! I took my notes, compared them to the Ninja notes, and added a few things here and there. I'm trying to do it the NINJA way and get the videos out of the way before doing the MCQ. I just seriously don't know how I will remember any of this. I'm only on Module 9C! Does anyone suggest doing IFRS towards the end? It was in the very beginning and I thought maybe doing it at the end would be more helpful?

    I'm retaking FAR in April. I just took it and February and I didnt pass. My strategy this time is to be organized, stay on schedule (via Ninja Planner), watch the vidoes while taking notes, read ninja notes daily, do all the MCQ, rewrite my notes and the ninja notes, redo MCQ, and review and practice with Wiley test bank & Ninja flashcards towards the end.

    Mistakes I made my first time- it was my first exam and I had no idea what to expect. I'm used to being able to do the minimum and still do good. This exam is NOT something you can half-@ss in my opinion. I allowed myself 7wks the first attempt and in that time the only thing I accomplished was getting through the 51 hours of lecture and working MCQ for a quarter of the the module. Pathetic..Needless to say that approach did not work, ha.. I realized I'm gonna actually have to put time,effort and determination into this thing. Lesson learned- Round 2!!

    @Ashley- my advice is to not take too long with the videos.. there's sooooo many hours of lecture with the Yaeger HS and i allowed myself to get consumed by it. I didnt give myself enough time to do anything else.

    I retaking FAR 4/07. I didn't pass the first time (back in Oct 2011 – ran out of time) and I took REG (and passed) in January so now I gotta go back and refresh my memory with FAR. I failed the 1st time b/c i didn't give myself enough time for the simulations. I got “stronger” in the multiple choice but scored “weaker” in the simulations when compared to other candidates.

    I'm really scared this time b/c I feel that the first time I took FAR, the M/C were topics that I knew very well. I have a feeling I'm going to get m/c for this exam on topics i don't know (i.e. like bonds, consolidations, equity method).

    Purchased wiley and using becker.. gonna do m/c over and over…focus a lot on govt acctg and nfp. I'm going to do tons of quizzes and focus on my time management (since thats why I failed the first time). I'm going to try and study a good 30 hours a week.

    I pray I pass..I have to pass FAR and BEC by August (before I lose Audit)..yikes!

    @Whyme

    How do you like the Wiley test bank so far? I'm using Becker as well and I'm redoing all of the MC's 2nd time around. I plan to sit around April 7. I wasn't sure if I'll have enough time to finish Becker and Wiley, since some of the Becker MC's looks foreign second time around.

    thanks!

    @Ashley why are you using Yaegar plus something else? They say to do only what they tell you for a reason. I watched each module's lectures and then did the MC and sims. I'm pretty sure I passed but we'll see. I would recommend just sticking to the Yaegar stuff and drop everything else. For IFRS make sure you know lower of cost or market. Other than that the IFRS stuff was pretty basic.

    BEC - 5/20/11 83
    REG - 11/20/11 83
    FAR - 2/26/12 82
    AUD - 7/26 86
    Ethics 12/27/12 90
