    Hey All-

This is my 1st post ever to this board and I am so excited to get some feedback!:>

I have my NTS and I scheduled FARE with the idea that 2 months of studying is sufficient time…but after I read some of the posts about FAR…I became a little leery:>

    Help me out please..

    1. I work full-time, however, my job is not overly demanding and I can committ to studying 3 hrs per night and 6-8 on Saturday and Sunday..

Is 2 months preparation time enough for the “BEAST” aka FAR ??

    REG-90, BEC-75, FAR-73 (02/12/2010--Waiting for results), AUD-88

In my opinion, it depends on how familiar you are with financial accounting and with specific issues.

For example, if you issued consolidated financial statements in your career, then that will be very familiar to you and you won't need so much time.

However, even if you are familiar with the issues, the volume is impressive, and practice will take time.

If you are committed, I think two months will be enough though.

    FAR - 7/26/10 - 95
    AUD - 8/10/10 - 88
    BEC - 8/31/10 - 88
    REG - 10/15/10 - 95

That sounds just like me. I gave myself eight weeks and am spending 3 hrs Monday-Friday and 6-8 hours each Saturday and Sunday.

I felt like that was plenty of time for me.

My exam is this coming Friday and I feel like I'm ready now. The last week or so I've been reviewing and I feel like I can't absorb any more material.

Though it does depend on how much you already know or how fresh out of college, assuming you had accounting classes, but in the end, 2 months is more than enough given the amount of time you have. 3 hours 5 days a week for 2 months is essentially 120 hours. Then the weekends if you do 6 hours each day its another 96. So you are looking at 216 hours total which is well more than enough.

2 months was not enough time for me even with no work… i went thru the videos once and found out i had to view it again and some of the stuff i had forgotten……i was banking on using the next 2-3 weeks left to just do mcs. now i have try to watch the videos all over to understand again. so u can never have enough time. i am now panicky and dont know what to do plus i need to cram/crash but dont feel well.

i need help on a new strategy or tips somebody pls help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You really should do some MC while you view the lectures. Also review (reread chapters) as you go. For your final review I would reread through the book (even if skimming).
