I used Becker for AUD and passed with a 94. I watched the lectures and then did MC questions until my eyes would bleed from the thought of doing more MC questions. Reading the questions and looking for the correct answer was not enough. When reading the question I would identify the topic being tested and what I knew about the topic. I then looked at the answers and figured out why the wrong answers were wrong and what would have to change to make them right. This helped to make sure I was learning the concepts versus just memorizing the questions.

To Dale and eveybody using Becker and passed
I'm using Becker. Since you used and passed CPA. Could you please tell me if Becker is enough for REG and FAR. I'm just afraid they don't have enough MCQs for me to practice. ( or should I buy some extra MCs , and which one?)

Ditto to Dale's comments about the AUD multiple choice.  Also, make sure you are very familiar with the reporting formats and what changes are made in different circumstances.  In my experience the AUD exam was probably the most conceptual and had the last calculations, etc.

@ annie – I used Becker for all 4 sections and passed on the first try.  If you really feel you need more questions you can always purchase another review program, but I do not think it is necessary to pass.  At some point additional problems are not going to help anymore.  Make sure you do as Dale says above and really learn the concepts while doing MC questions.

I used Becker for all four parts (I don't actually take FAR until tomorrow), but I have passed the other 3 on the first try using it.  Becker's material is fantastic, but you have to committ to doing all of the material.  That means, lectures, MCQ, Sims, Practice Finals, etc.  If you skip over things, you're only cheating yourself.

Becker is definitely my recommendation, but just make sure you are learning the underlying concepts behind the question and not just memorizing situations and answers.  Especially with REG, since there are so many exceptions and exceptions to exceptions.  It's difficult to memorize a situation and be able to apply it to a question on the exam.

    Good luck on your test!
