I am sorry that you did not pass this time. You will pass next time. You almost there, one more shot. Just re-group your soldier and go back into the battle field.
Some of us have not pass the first exam yet. Think about, you almost at the finish line.
Congratulation to all that pass. I

PeanutParticipantTomorrow is the day… Going to start back up this journey. Not sure where to begin… I guess I'll just start reading the Becker book cover to cover. Still haven't decided on additional review material. I'd like to pound out the Wiley MCQ a couple of times since I already have that. Still no score report =/
Roger Cram is just video lectures right? I'm just looking for some golden questions to review ha. I hear not so good things about Gleim… So lost 🙁 fml. Thanks for the support fam

LauraParticipantDepends on what you want out of Gleim. I did the full online course for Gleim as well as the MCQs….I didn't pass it that time but it brought my grade from a 62 to a 72. Something in Gleim made it click for me better than it ever had…after I did the online course I did Becker again….because I had enough breathing room away from it. Scored a 74…then I did Becker again, supplemented with Yeager Cram…74…So the last time I sat…I stepped away from lectures…did Gleims simulations (on the online version) and answered MCQ at MCQ on Gleim. I also did the Yeager Cram again (Bulmash explained test taking techniques that really helped me). The difference in the end was that I was reading the questions too quickly and not focusing on a word or two change that changed the answer from one choice to the other. I really liked the Gleim MCQs. They switch up the answer choices..you won't know what order the answer is it therefore you HAVE to read the question and all the answers and not just blindly click.

AnonymousInactiveYou are like a rockstar of this forum with everyone standing behind you! You have by far more experience in taking the CPA exam than me but if I were you, before I start studying the same things the same way, I would sit and think what and why those methods didn't work.
Audit is one of the subjects that has many abstract concepts and without practical experience, those concepts are hard to grasp. I suggest you purchase your college audit textbook. You can easily buy the lower edition textbook for less than $10 and solution manuals and study guides are also sold for those early edition very cheap. Try understanding the materials that you already encountered two times from the textbooks, because they are very written and easy to understand. Every textbook has a companion website for students that is free where you can download all the power point slides and short online quizes for each chapter.
Good luck to you!

AnonymousInactiveI know you said you don't want to watch the lectures. I too sometimes found it hard to pay attention. But, Yaeger worked well for me, especially on AUD. Bulmash doesn't always go into extreme detail, but he points out the really important stuff and then says it a billion times so it's easy to remember.

AnonymousInactiveAw, Peanut, I'm so sorry. It's all been said before, but I can't imagine how you must be feeling right now. You're going to do amazing next time! Sidenote: What a tool that guy was to break up with you!

jokamiMemberPeanut…
I really can't say: “I know how feel”, because I am still down by two. But what I do know is that, those who never give up are the ones who are the most successful in life… Is like the movie: “The Pursuit of Happiness” based on the memoirs of Chris Gardner. I think this is, besides Disney's “Up”, the most depressive movie ever and the only moment of happiness are about the last 20 seconds of the movie. But it comes to show us to never give up, even with all the struggles and challenges you might face.
So now, solicit the exam, wait for your NTS, print two copies: burn one (you have to release your anger some how, at least that's what I will do when I finish this challenge, it is going to be my “fire wood” in my bonfire the night I receive my last passing score) and use the other one to make the appointment.
The strange or curious thing about this exam is how lonely you feel even with all the support of friends and family… I just want to make sure to you that we are here for you…. Remember that always!

MinimortyParticipant@Peanut – I say this with love: Start over. Just wipe the slate clean and start over. Get a new review course (a full course, not a cram) and go through the entire book, the entire set of lectures, all of the MCQ, and all of the SIMS. I totally understand that you are really close and could “probably” get by with a cram course and some extra studying. Dont do it. Start over. There is no such thing as overkill. Dont take the exam April 1. Take it April 30th or May 15th. Go through the entire process again. This is your last exam, you need to push through it. I have complete faith that if you do this, you will pass with a score in the 80s.

PeanutParticipant@Minimorty, but I feel like the Becker materials and Wiley MCQ are sufficient?! Everything the exam tests is in the Becker book. Both test banks clearly prepared me if I scored stronger on the MCQ… I guess if I had to choose I would probably go with Yeager. But I honestly really feel like I just need an additional test bank, and to practice the SIMs in Wiley & Becker and I should pass. Ugh. I'm so lost. I've just been reading Becker chapter 1 today, trying to get back in the swing. Anyone pass AUD with just Yeager?

PeanutParticipantAlso, if I did buy Yaeger, they use Wiley questions. So I'm not really helping myself learning from new questions…

MinimortyParticipant@Peanut – Do you agree that starting over with a new course and going through all of the material will leave you completely prepared for the exam? Are you hesitating to go down that route because of the time, effort, and energy needed to completely immerse yourself in the material again? Just think about it this way. What if you add another test bank and do more questions and come back with a 74? That would be tough. Why not spend a little bit more time, over-prepare yourself and walk out of there with an 88?
