Oh no Peanut! I'm so sorry! Just get back on that horse!!! I noticed you didn't mention anything about SIMs… did you practice those? I noticed you talked about just reading the material. I can't focus when I do the lectures so I gave those up and read the book.

I wish you the very best! You can do it!

    B- Passed (2nd Try)
    A- Passed (2nd Try)
    R- Passed (2nd Try)
    F- Passed (3rd Try)

    Never give up!

@Peanut- Again, I'm sorry to hear this. But let me tell you…. if you can pass FAR and REG, you can kill AUD. Have you tried the Gleim test prep? I highly recommend it. It contains a lot of challenging questions. I found them harder than the actual exam. I strongly suggest you buy a new set of questions. Do not use the Becker questions again because you probably are subconsciously memorizing answers. With the Gleim test prep, you'll have over 2,000 new questions to practice from. Or you can buy the Wiley software. Not only will you get a nice set of fresh MCQs, but you'll also get to practice a lot of Sims. I think the Sims in the Wiley software are great. In fact, I recommend the Wiley software more since it includes Sims. The Gleim test prep only includes MCQs.

Best of luck! Take some time off and come back fresh and get ready to nail the exam next time….

    @ Peanut,

I feel the pain for you. If you failed, then how about me? Since I am in Cali, I won't know my scores either tomorrow or Friday. I think you have the enough informationn to pass the exam. I remember that you mentioned you had a personal crisis few days before the exam. You will be doing very well since you will recovered from that crisis by the time you take the next exam.

Peanut, this thread made me so sad! I am sosososososososososososo sorry!!!! 🙁 You're like one of the most hardworking girl on this forum, you've nailed not just one, but different review courses, it's so unfair. Ok, so in situations like this, meaning you know it all and you almost passed, just remember, it's all luck! We don't all get the same sims and questions, and you didn't get lucky that day. So don't give up! I know you won't. Remember, audit is the hardest exam out of all 4 (says yankee too!!! Not just me!!! 😉 ) and you will definitely pass next time!!! Peanut is a 10 out of 10, she's a rock star, she will conquer the CPA exam!!!!!! And I can tell you that everyday on facebook too if you need me to (Diane Schmitlin is my name).

So as someone here suggested, take the week off! Have many mojitos with friends and forget about it all. In August, you'll be a big time CPA at a big time firm and you will look back on these failures with laughter.

    We all believe in you!!!

Thank you guys, for all of the support. Means a ton to me. Couldn't be going through this process without my cyber family

@chrisbrown3, to answer your question, I was scoring in the 90's on Becker progress tests. 90's or high 80's on Wiley quizzes. I scored in the upper 70's low 80's on the two Becker simulated exams. I did a free trial in Gleim (40 MCQs) and got an 85%. I did the AICPA released questions (50 of them) and got either 4 or 5 wrong. Read the Becker book twice… Sooooo is this what people mean by luck of the draw? Or unlucky draw….

It's going to be 67 in New England today so I'm going to spend some time at the beach. I think I'm going to start restudying la manana. fml..

Still no score report… I usually get it just a couple of hours after the score release.. Really curious to see what it has to say. I'm 100% sure it's probably those ridiculous SIMs that killed me. Or the break up factor 3 days before the exam,… Yeah I'll just blame it all on the break up haha. Got to blame it on something, can't blame it on myself =P

So maybe Roger cram, plus Gleim test bank?? I just don't hear a lot of positive things about Gleim….

Sorry I am late on this, but oh man I am so sorry Peanut!

You don't anymore advice than you've already gotten, just want to say we all know your frustration. BEC was the same for me, when I got a 74 the 2nd time I took it I had NO idea what more I could be doing to pass. I thought I knew it so well. I really don't even know what I did different to finally pass, maybe just got better questions on the 3rd exam.

Hope you enjoy your day at the beach, you deserve it. A little break from studying is probably best. Heck, that may be what helped me finally pass BEC. – Although it was practically a 4 month break so that probably isn't the smartest route :).

Good luck and kick some butt when you get back at it.

    AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
    REG - 79 7/2010
    BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
    FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.

@Peanut- Thanks. I'm quite shocked at the score because I didn't feel so great about the MCQs. But I got real lucky with the Sims and got questions on stuff I knew. So, a strong performance in that area probably got me a passing score. I honestly think Sims are very important now. And I think it's all luck. My second REG exam had terrible Sims, but my latest exam had MUCH better ones.

When you get the Performance Report, take a look at what you're weaker at….MCQs or Sims? If it's Sims, then practice a lot of them in the Wiley book and software. Please don't give up now. Keep going while your FAR, BEC & REG credits are still good. Your whole cyber family has faith in you!
