Anyone else out there who will be done after passing FAR in august? I am going to be so psyched to be done. I don’t think I can study for FAR for a third time. I, just like many other people are ending this tough tough journey with the hardest section. Funny they say climbing the last hundred feet to the top of everest are the easiest but i think in the case of the cpa exam, finishing with far is the hardest thing we’ve had to do.

Me! I'll be taking it towards the end of August.

I've been studying for a good 4 weeks now, at a slow but methodical pace. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the book, and now it's starting to hit me. There's a sh*t-load of material for FAR. I was feeling pretty good with my progress, and then just today I got to the bonds section…ouch.

I am in the same boat as you all. I am retaking the exam early August. i have started studying since last week and got through all the homework of the 3 chapters and watched two of the lectures again. If I could go back I would have def started with FAR first and not last! I feel like I have so much more to do trying to figure out how to fit it all in the next 4 weeks.

Count me in as well. I am taking FAR on 08/31. I got a 71 in May. I am having such a hard time maintaining my focus and motivation. I am on Chapter 5 and feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. Good Studies and Luck to us all.

I am in this club. Pass FAR in August and I'm done. I am thru chp 5 of 8 and have cash flow, consolidations nfp and government left. The goal is to finish all by 7/31 then use a cram and re-do all for a month. So far this has worked for me.

Im in this boat as well. Watching Becker chap 6 tonight and will finish the lectures before month end, then review until the 13th….There is a ton of material so Ive been using flash cards to keep the content fresh more than before….hopefull ill be done soon enough!!!

Make room in the boat for me! I am taking it at the end of August and start my 7 week study plan today. I actually took time off in June, about 5 weeks since BEC (late may) and choose not to do any studying. It was AWESOME. I was busy of course, work and family keep my schedule packed but not having studying hanging over my head was beautiful. Can't wait to be done! I keep picturing myself on score release day in September. I want to be elated so that is my motivation for sticking to my study schedule 100% this window. 🙂

I have FAR scheduled for July 20th. If I pass I'm done w/ all four parts.

FAR has without a doubt been the most difficult. I've been studying since May 7th and I still have some serious cramming to do in the next 10 days.

I'm sure I've already put in well over 100 hours to date on this one.

I'm here with you on this train ride through HELL! If I pass FAR on Friday, I am done and if I fail, I lose REG. I hope that I am as ready as I think I am and I kill the beast. It has been quite a journey. I took FAR in January of 2012 and May so I'm really hoping that 3rd time is a charm!

I am in the same boat but I can't seem to get motivated. Part of me is just exhausted but the other is just afraid. I am scared that I don't pass and have to study again or worse, time out and have to redo sections. My first exam doesn't time out until May 2013 but that is still a huge possibility. I need to get my butt in gear but can't seem to get moving…

I may be in this group, I take Reg retake next week and then trying to get my FAR credit back on 8/31. If I can pass them both then I'm done.

How are supposed to retain the early chapters? I am on chp 6 and chp 1 seems like a distant memory. Individually each chp is doable, its remembering the old stuff that has me freakin out.

I agree with you Gvemesleep. I am having that same issue. My plan this week is to do a review of chap 1-5. Just so I can review those chaps. again.

Givemesleep, I forced myself to make flashcards. I review the flashcards for the old material every day. I also review my notes from the old chapters every day. Even if it means 1 hour a day dedicated to old materials, I do it. Because I realized that it made my final review absolutely painful and miserable when I didn't do this.

Now I'm just sitting here 3 days before my test, going over stuff because I feel ready. I am rolling my eyes at the older stuff now. It took me 6 months to get to this point, but I'm here!!!
