Passed FAR, First Test!

So I can’t believe I passed my very first test let alone that it was FAR, the hardest and longest section. With having one down, I really feel like I am capable of actually doing this. I really thought that my chances were slim trying to pass the first time I sat for an exam and the fact that I was attempting FAR first. Because of this, I allowed myself 3 months to study. I knew that’s how long I needed to feel comfortable. By the day of the exam, I knew I had covered everything and answered all Becker’s MC questions 2 times or so but I felt like I didn’t have everything conquered as well as I wanted to in order to feel prepared enough to pass it. Instead I just felt overwhelmed by the amount of material and everything there is to know. I thought for sure that I would be re-taking. I also felt like a lot of my questions were on the easier side. I had read on here that basically if you walk out of your exam thinking it wasn’t that bad then something went horribly wrong… so I feared the worst. Looks like the 3 months of studying paid off though! I guess I was just well prepared. =) Becker is awesome because it is so much harder than the actual exam that it really gets you ready for the worst. Hats off to Becker!

I have been studying for FAR ssince January 11, and I don't feel prepared for this test. Also I feel very nervous. Right now I am thinking I am going to fail this test. I feel like crying right now.

Congrats on the passing score, especially on the beast that is FAR. It is also good to hear more people saying Becker is harder than the actual exam. I have found that to be the case with my other three sections, but each section is different. I have felt that the Becker materials covered everything I've seen on the other three sections outside of about 5 questions total. Do you feel that Becker was a good representation of what you actually saw? I am looking forward to taking FAR on April 14th as it is my last section and test.

Dale, yes that is exactly what I told my husband after I took the exam is that there was nothing I faced that Becker didn't address or prepare me for. I wouldn't worry too much, it looks like you have been doing great so far! I wish I could get all the exams out of the way as fast as you are however I just need more time to study for each section. With work mixed in my life I am drained when I get home so that just leaves me weekends to get the bulk of my studying done and maybe 2 hours per weeknight IF I am lucky and have the energy. I am doing BEC and Audit quicker though, studying for just 7 weeks for each one. Good luck to you!

Christian2823- Don't worry, I didn't feel prepared enough either just very overwhelmed. What I did during my review was took a whole new set of notes while skimming through all of the chapters (I took notes the first time through reading the chapters as well and never read them again, writing stuff down as I read it helps me process the information and lock it into my memory better) and then I just started typing up my notes for the harder, more complex chapters. Just focus on the areas you know you need to work at and review in these last couple days and you will do fine! =)
