Now that the testing window is closed, I’m interested in what you all have to say. There are lots of things I want to do after this is over.

    1. Paint the kitchen. No idea what color but the fruit wallpaper that the previous owners thought was kickin’ has got to go, and I mean now.

    2. Gather all genealogy records, sign up for a free 14 day trial of ancestry.com, input all my data and see what I can find before the trial expires and they charge my card.

    3. Start a database of House Hunters International episodes. I estimate approximately 85% of the houses chosen are the first house. There are also some rules I want to test: The house chosen is always the house described as a “ruin” (usually in Italy), the house chosen is under construction and they act like the previous owners just quit in the middle of a remodel, the house chosen is pointedly referred to as at least “partially” furnished. I also think that if you see a bed with no sheets and comforters, just a mattress cover, that’s the winning house. They also seem to describe flights from between 300 miles and 20,000 miles as “grueling” … without fail. I want to track that as well.

I will again pick back up with learning to play the guitar.

I also plan to learn how to make my own fly rods (for fishing).

I will have to learn to color the grey out of my hair also….. πŸ˜€

    @katie

There's not enough love for your very accurate description of House Hunters Intl. – pretty funny.

Exercise strenuously. Was very fit prior to studying for this exam, gained weight since I started. I exercise but only moderately. I am not happy about the way I look…self-esteem at all time low, top that with a failing 72 on BEC.

Do some house cleaning for Goodwill.

Read, read, and read some more – books that do not have the letters GAAP, IFRS, IRC, or numbers.

    Cook a fondant cake.

Maverick- Ditto everything you said about the exercising! I had my wedding last June and obviously did my best to look great for that. Ever since I've been studying so much and stressing that I've put on some lbs that I didn't want back.

    1) Work out a lot and meal plan better so I am not eating garbage when I felt like I had no time to cook.

1A) Start making REAL dinners for my hubby πŸ™‚ Poor guy gets married and his wife is studying constantly!

    2) Read real books πŸ™‚ Got my first one done post CPA exam last weekend on my mini vaca to Phoenix. The Help. Really enjoyed it.

    3) Clean out apartment of crap that has accummulated or not fully unpacked since we moved in. Seriously this exam ruins everything!

    4) See my friends more often πŸ™‚

    5) Eventually start job hunting for a new career – perhaps one that requires a CPA license πŸ™‚

    6) Start stashing away all the $$ I am saving from not having to purchase study materials and taking exams towards purchasing a home

    7) Get sleep I was missing out on for a while before we have children and I won't get enough anymore!

Man life is better without this crap! I posted on FB yesterday that I have either been planning my wedding or studying all the time for the past two years of my life…and now they are both finally done. It's so different!

    AUD - 73, 82 7/2010
    REG - 79 7/2010
    BEC - 72, 74, 78 7/2011
    FAR - 66, 83 1/2012 - AND I'M DONE! Best feeling ever.

MN Licensed CPA as of 5/18/12!
