Same old, same old. Are you going to jump on the CGMA bandwagon? I think the AICPA is giving it away for a few more months at least. Curious what you think about it.

Good luck with the CIA. One test or many tests? Is there a review course for that? I want the CFF designation, but can't find a review course. I don't want to dig through 15 different books to learn the material.

That's interesting. I'm assuming that's the Chartered Global Management Accountant Cert? I would say it can't hurt to get a certification that the AICPA is basically giving away. I wasn't aware that they were doing that. I guess I'll put it like this, I certainly don't think it can HURT if you don't have to spend a lot of time trying to study for it. I guess I don't know how much value the CGMA could add, but it is something I'll certainly have to evaluate. At first blush, however, it looks like I don't meet the experience requirements. Yeah, my firm allowed me to purchase the IIA's materials, so luckily I didn't have to dig through a lot of different materials to get an understanding around the topics tested. It's four parts like the CPA, but from what I hear, super easy (very unlike the CPA). What's the difference between the CFF and the CFE? Also, are you in the forensic field?

Yeah, there is no exam for the CGMA. Crazy, huh? Just fill out the application if you have the experience. Kinda wild though because all these people are going to be certified as management accountants with ZERO management accounting experience. I am still undecided, leaning towards no right now.

Looks like the CFE is for fraud and is not through the AICPA.

The CFF is financial forensics, more up my alley (business valuation, divorce work, etc.)

@Jeff, that's awesome. I love to wake up and start laughing at someone else's stupidity I must say.

@Mini, I'll need to check those out. I really want to go the forensics route/fraud investigation. I'm a good detective !

A tattoo after ONE WEEK? Ugh. She's nuts. And her behavior is also obsessive/stalking. Nuts.
