    Hello Ninja’s

    I have been studying FAR since last week so I could hit the scheduled Oct 23rd exam but the problem is I am still stuck with Yaegers Module 9 and slowly progressing. I do have incoming exam Nov 26 for AUDIT. Both NTS expires Dec 20. Do you think it will be smarter to reschedule the FAR exam to November and just not show up Audit at all?

    Please no rude answers please. I am a newbie and I have no one to talk about CPA exam at all.

    Hmm, this is tough one because you are basically going have to either pay for one exam (if you do pass) or pay for two exams (if you don't pass). My advice is: study so that you are confident enough to take FAR, and if you have enough time to hammer through Audit, just try to breeze through the book and absorb as much info as you can just so that you can get a feel for the exam. You probably will not be feel prepared for the exam, but since you already paid money for Audit, don't let it go to a waste.

    REG = 58 (02-20-13), 75 (05-01-13)
    AUD = 67 (05-29-13), 79 (08-29-13)
    BEC = 83 (07-31-13)
    FAR = 72 (10-29-13), 69 (02-27-14), 73 (04-16-14), 81(08-13-14)

    Study Materials = Becker 2013 + Wiley Online Test Bank
    (75%) On my Way to a CPA (minus the experience requirement)!

    You just started studying last week and are already on module 9? I'd say you're rolling right along.

    Taking the exams 5 weeks apart is possible, depending on what else you've got going on. Unless you've got a really hectic schedule other than the exams you may be able to pull off an exam on 10/23 and 11/26.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

    Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    I think you can pull it off!

    Since you have already paid the money for both exams I would take them both. There is no point in letting a NTS expire when you have forked over that kind of money.

    Set a study schedule and stick to it! It is doable.

    NYS CPA License # 113563
    CIA: Done as of 2/15/14

    Training for a half marathon post studying!

    I think that you should take both tests no matter what. Focus on FAR now and make sure you are ready for that one since you have already started studying. Once that is over, turn your attention to AUD and do your best. What is the worst that can happen? You fail and have to pay for another exam, which you will have to anyways if you just don't show up. I had a friend that was in the same boat and took AUD after only a week and got a 76. Granted he has been working as a staff auditor for 9 months but still. I personally just think it would be a waste to let a NTS expire without a least giving it a shot.

    DreamingOfWiley- I agree with the posters above to take both exams. Just seeing the questions can help you and who knows, you could pass!

    I'm not familiar with Yaeger, but keep studying. If you are a few days away from your FAR test and feel miserably behind, then reschedule it for a few days later. I had my most productive study days within a few weeks of the exam and usually, the ideas would start to come together. Good luck!

    Thank you guys for the input. @mla1169 Module 9 of Yaeger study is the first module. It is subdivided to Module 9a-d and I am still at Mod 9C and there are still Modules 9 to go plus they subdivided those too.

    I think I will do just that. Study FAR now and resched it to Nov if necessary then breeze on AUD still show up regardless.

    You guys rock!

    @auslaf thank you. The more I received similar response, the more I am convince to just focus on FAR and then breeze through AUD if time wont permit.
