Hey Samdiego, I lost motivation to study once my lips tasted that turkey and beer on Thurday, so I lost about a day and a half of studying and am now getting back at it. 5 days to go! I'm starting to feel a bit more confident. I have 450 more MCQ to go on the Wiley bank before I've answered them all. I also have a bout 40 SIMS to go as well. After that I will begin to answer the one's I've answered incorrectly and then take the practice test in the back of the Wiley book. This has been my regiment for the first 3 tests and hoping all the hard work will pay off next Thursday.

Hope you all are making progress 🙂

I am starting to wonder if I should reschedule. I have finished all the videos with Yaeger, but I have just started on the MCQs. My test is scheduled for Dec. 6…11 days. Does anything think I should reschedule for early January or just try and take it on the 6th and reschedule if I fail, which I think it very likely?

@Stay Positive – If money isn't an issue, I'd just take it and reschedule if needed. It can't hurt, especially if you plan on taking it in early January anyways. 11 days of straight MCQ and review will give you more than a shot at a passing grade!

Stay_Positive – If you take it and fail it only cost you $200 bucks and you can still take it again in Jan. I decided a long time ago that I am just going to keep taking the tests till I pass. Remember you only need a 75 to pass. Good Luck

@bamer101 and financelady – I think you are right. I'm just going to take it on the 6th and reschedule if need be. Thanks!

Bamer101 – Me too! I went to my friends house with all intentions to eat, not drink, and come home and study the rest of the night. Ha… had about 30 “San Diego orphan” friends there, all drinking in which I got jealous and started to drink too. That went downhill and I ended up at a bar later that night. Yesterday had friends in town, got nothing done but stayed home last night. Apparently my roommates thought our house was a great place to have the after party til 430am despite my angry texts to break it up. Whatever.

Doing as many MCQ as possible today, then crying into my pillow before sleeping tonight.

@Stay_Positive – No problem! Good luck!

@Samdiego – ya, getting together with friends on the holidays is always a recipe for trouble, especially if you have obligations the next day lol. My friends convinced me that I had studied hard enough and needed a mental break. I wish they had convinced that I was going to fail and that I should go home and do practice tests.

    Hello all,

I plan on taking FAR in Feb of 2013 i took it once before and failed with a 73 back in Dec 2010. I've been using Roger Cram for BEC and REG and i love it. I want to use it for FAR but I don't know if its enough. Has anyone just use a cram or final review material and passed FAR?

I am reviewing today and all of next week. My FAR exam is next Friday. I am nervous. I am going back over all of the chapters in my review materials. Currently I am doing 20 question quizzes on chapter 5. I am spending 1 entire day on each section going over the flashcards and my notes. (I am off of work all next week!)

I feel as if I have forgotten so much. By midday I start to feel a little better about the material that I am covering for that day. I am not as confident about the material as I feel I should be. I hope that come Thursday evening I feel better.

Good Luck to all who are studying/testing this up and coming week!

    Hello alll,

I am running out of time to study for FAR as I have the exam this week but haven't gotten to all the lectures/mcq's. Haven't touched 4 chapters. Would you recomend learning like 2 of the 4 chapters slowly/well or just going straight to questions for all 4 chapters?

@glass2lose – what topics are they?

@Bamer101- Thank you for responding. I haven't looked at F4, F5, F6 or F7 and half of F9 🙁 This will be one expensive practice exam. So should I just study and do Qs for F4 and F5? Or should I just kinda touch on them all like maybe parts but problem is I won't really understand things that way. What are your thoughts?

I only use Wiley and am not familiar with Becker's coursework, but I'd focus on the subjects that are most heavily tested. Hedge your bets!

@bamer101- what topics are most heavily tested besides nfp & gov? even though someone just said they had about 5 questions total on those so who knows
