For the rest of us who are still stuck in satan's armpit – I've been really struggling with Leases, which is odd since I understand bonds. Anyways, I don't have review material other than Wiley, but i did find this online which is helping! Just in case people don't have access to Roger's material and would like a lengthy review of Leases.

FAR is the only section I haven't tried yet. I actually find REG to be the most difficult, but it is hard for me to effectively study for FAR unless I can block off 4+ hours at a time and work things through the long way. With all the other sections, if I have 20 minutes, I can make good use if it.

I'm taking FAR next, in part because I am very close to passing Audit and think that immersing myself in the FAR material may help the next time I sit for AUD – my studies for AUD definitely paved the way for a chunk of BEC. I'm also cautiously optimistic at this early stage that FAR, although it would take longer to prepare for, might not be the dragon I feared – I might be more conscious of my weaknesses BEFORE I sit for the test and thus prepare more effectively and with fewer illusions about my readiness.

Does this make sense to anyone or am I in for a rude awakening soon?

@FTZ – there is a lot of information to grasp with FAR. About twice as much as any of the other sections.

Did Becker as many times as possible and only just started Wiley last week. There are a lot of weaker sections I still have when it comes to FAR, but I have 9 days left. Cramming all the Wiley problems to see how much I know and then doing practice tests on Becker next week. I'm hoping that even though I might end up failing the practice tests, I'll pass FAR. Good luck everyone! Here's to hoping we don't have to re-take the exam after this

Just finished with section F5 today in becker and I swear I don't remember what happened in F2-F-4. I really hope it comes back to me once I get to the finish and start my final review. This is the first of the three exams I have studied for so far where I just feel lost and it takes me forever to go through the MCQ's. I really hope it gets better from here, I don't take my exam till January 5th right before I get ready for busy season. I really hope to pass so once I come out of busy season all I will have is one to go in BEC.

Ugh, have done so many MCQ the last 3 days… so sick of them… also have been taking notes on each question that I don't know 100%.

Have done all sims for Bonds, Leases, and Pensions on Wiley test bank. All are super easy?? I can amortize like a beast, so maybe that's why. Hope they are similar on the real exam cus that will help me a ton. Had one sim on bad debt expense, got the JE names right, but WTF, no idea how to get the numbers. I'm getting awesome at government as well.

Tomorrow, going to work on only sims in both Wiley test bank and Roger book. Friday is NFP day over and over.

What are you guys all planning for the rest of the week? My roommates are making all their Thanksgiving meals to bring to our friends' house tomorrow :/ I might stop by for a bit, but there will be alcohol there and I will want it BADLY, so can't stay for long.

@samdiegoCPA – Any tips for remembering government? I'm in your boat. I've done so many MCQ it's nauseating. The SIMS on the Wiley Test Bank seem easy to me too. I've finished about half of them. Hopefully it's a good indication of what's to come! I finally figured out Leases…I don't know why it took me so long, haha. I feel you about the alcohol. I could go for a cold one right now. Going to drive up to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. My new wife is working (she's an RN) so that sucks. I'll probably wake up early and bang out some MCQ before I go. One week to go.

I have a Dec 4th test date, that's right Dec 4th. So that's 9 days left with 5 non working days. I just cant wait to be a normal human again. 1 thing I wish I would have done was do more progress tests. So anyone reading be sure to do progress tests to keep the old material fresh at least once a week. My plan for today is to do a quiz from each chapter then spend some extra time on those chapters I score less than 75 on. This maybe a LONG day for me.

Feeling very unmotivated and exhausted today. Exam is in 4 days and 2 hours. Blah. 10 days off afterwards so I need to push through this S&*%.

I thought I had done over half the Wiley MCQ and saw it was only like 35% of them. Although I have done more, some were repeats multiple times… finally turned on the “Show questions that I haven't seen yet” setting.
