To_be_a_cpa, I started my review last week and can't believe how much I had forgotten. I skipped a few chapters and went straight to Govt/NFP today and actually remembered most of the Govt but wondered if I had even read the section on NFP previously. I think I'm going to revisit that one tomorrow and skip on to chapter 10. Hopefully, things will look familiar there.

    AUD- 4/12- 82
REG- 7/12- 81 Did they even grade my SIMS?
    BEC- 8/12- 76

55 hours until FAR panic-mode has set in. Just logged into prometric to SEE about HYPOTHETICALLY changing my date by a week or 2. $90 fee, nope.

I hate that if I fail this I won't have to time restudy/retake until after busy season, by which point I'll surely have forgotten everything I know now.

I do fine going chapter by chapter in their entirety, but as soon as some time has passed and I do a cumulative progress test, it's not good. There are just TOO many topics and little details and exceptions. I'm at 215 hours of studying. If I fail, it won't be for lack of studying, but rather too much information. I know what topics are heavily tested and will be drilling those for 2 days, but dammit there's things on the exam OTHER than NFP and Govt. About 98 other things.

end whine. This is the only place where someone would understand haha

@BrookeS – Gov/NFP was barely touched on my exam. Some MCQ's but that was it. I think if you've covered all topics you'll be fine. If you can do Becker MCQ's you can definitely handle this exam. I got myself so stressed out on Sunday before my FAR exam on Mon that I considerd rescheduling too. Becker Progress tests are much harder than what was thrown at me on the real exam. Good luck!

@CPA_Driven, I LOVE your signature quote, it's been a favorite of mine for years. I still have a sticky note I wrote that on from 2005 🙂 And I am happy to say, it keeps me trying!

Saturday is two birthday parties, Sunday is hangover day. Monday begins 8+ hour study days for review. Half day for Thanksgiving cus that's about the time I will need a break 😛

Starting Gvt now! I took a governmental acct class in college, but it was badly taught, so although I am familiar with some of the terminology and journal entries, I have really no idea anything else.

I am dreading next Monday during initial review and figuring out everything I forgot :O

I had originally scheduled my FAR exam for November 29th, but there just wasn't any way that I could grasp all of the information. I rescheduled for Jan 2nd. I really just want to pass the first go around. I can't put myself through this again. lol.

I hated intermediate accounting in school and I knew this would be the section I struggled with most. I have read one chapter 3 times and I still don't fully grasp the concepts. Lordy… this is going to suck.

REG(10/23/12)- Passed. Life happended and lost credit - 18 month expiration)(Retake soon)
    FAR - Passed. Used Becker.
AUD - Passed. Used CPAExcel (now Wiley)
    BEC- Plan to take October-ish.

    Just give me a 75!

I'm taking my my first CPA exam on Monday, November 19th. FAR! I use Yaeger CPA Review and really like it. I'll just be spending the next 5 days reviewing EVERYTHING that I've been going over for the past 2.5 months. I'm super nervous about it!

Ispills88 I'm in that process right now, but with FAR tomorrow and I really hope you haven't forgotten as much stuff as I'm finding I have! Yikes 🙁 FAR is a daunting one. Hoping for the best!
