    The 7 SIMS on the real exam will take you MUCH longer. Just not comparable.

    can someone tell me how they use the ninja notes to help them? i have only taken FAR so far and failed. i got the ninja notes but as i go through them i feel like this is the stuff i know already. i think what i need to know more to pass is the nitty gritty details and journal entries. no offense jeff, but do any of you guys really find these helpful? if so how? and how do you use them? seems the questions are a lot more detailed than this.

    I agree with WantToBeDone. There will probably be one or two that you will know really well but the rest will probably take you a long time. Also, you can use the codification on every simulation and it is really helpful. This is another thing that will cause you to spend more time on the simulations. Use every mintue you have available for the Sims. They can kill you or make you pass.

    I use Becker and Ninja notes/audio. I don't think it is enough to be ready for any parts of the exam with just studying Ninja notes. I listen to Becker lectures, do a lot of MCQs from Becker and Wiley's, then I keep listening and reviewing Ninja notes to keep the most important facts fresh in my mind. I hope it helps. Practice makes all the difference!

    @DatFutureCPA

    Same for me about finishing the practice exams quickly. I'll be more careful on the actual test.

    I think we are both prepared enough to pass.

    @audiox

    I am so dam ready to get this thing over with. What'd you think of the Becker final exams? I took both already and the MCQ were 50x harder than the homework's.

    How are you prepping the last couple of days? I mean today I spent 8+ hours doing both final exams and going through every mcq and sims trying to understand the ones I got wrong.

    I have a couple areas where I keep having reoccurring errors that I will focus on but nothing major. I feel like the ones I get wrong are from small details from every section and its just impossible to remember it all. Kind of stuck on how I should keep studying. The MCQ homeworks are a waste of time at this point I think.

    I use them just to review major points. I think what really works for me so far is practicing MCQs. If you feel like you know the material, the best way to test it is by doing MCQs as much as you possible can. Then decide where you struggle and focus on those areas. Bottom line: my main study material is the Becker book.

    @DatFutureCPA

    Yeah, the practice finals were tougher. Based on reading past posts, it seems it's normal for people to score 10-15 points higher on the actual exam.

    I am not overstudying as I think I have a good grasp on the material. I am going to review some key formulas and journal entries over the next few days.

    I'm ready to be done with FAR.

    reviewed the present value modules today… wow… I suck at it. Anyone else have trouble with the present value concepts? I can do an amortiztion schedule at least..

    I am getting more and more nervous and am wondering about pushing my exam back. I have 4 full days 3 after work study days left before next Saturday… just not sure it's enough. I think I've developed full blown depression… I would hate for my co-workers and boss to know I studied for 200 hours and still failed. Sigh.

    I struggled with PV a lot, especially leases and bonds. Now they are my strong point and I hope my test has a lot of MCQ/Sims on them.

    If you have Becker, what I did was went through the entire chapter again (F5) and took intense notes. Then I re-worked each lease and bond MCQ (50-60 each) homework problems 2x over. Something just clicked and I started understanding them and scored like 90% on each section.

    How is everyone with F9 (Gov wide F/S and NFP)?

    I know F8 like the back of my hand, but the consolidation of the F/S confuses the hell out of me. Theres just so much info in there. Do you guys really think there will be a lot of mcq/sim problems with the consolidation?

    NFP – Overall solid, small areas I need to re-work.

    @DatFutureCPA: Not sure what review you use, but there's usually an exam breakdown in the earlier pages. 2 of the sections are all government and NFP, and those two take up a decent chunk of the exam. Unfortunately I'm pretty weak on those so far. (Like the other sections are any easier for me lol)

    Thanks DatFutureCPA. I will probably watch the lectures again.. Hopefully it will click.

    As far as NFP and Gov.. I've only gone through those once, but I found Governmental to be difficult, but NFP to be a lot better. I expect Gov, NFP, and PV to be my nightmare modules.

    I actually looked into possibly changing my test date..next available is Nov 24. I guess I'll be taking it in a week then!

    I hope I don't regret it but I'm not bothering trying to learn the appendix of F-4 (those ‘other' inventory valuation models)…I'm finishing up reviewing F-4 now and I'll just risk it I guess. Too much other important stuff to focus on.
