The Uniform CPA Exam is a confidential examination. All persons involved with the Uniform CPA Exam, including candidates, must sign a confidentiality agreement not to disclose the contents of specific questions asked.

“SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ASKED” … and really.. this bothers me.. Im surprised how many of my friends just freely share exam questions to each other.. This happens so often, I kind of think its pointless for the nondisclosure agreement, so many people I know don't even pay attention to that.. I've had one person tell me about a SIM as I was walking right outside the testing room!!! IM LIKE ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

mmmmm……..I wouldn't take a chance by saying anything about the content itself of the exam. I think its easy enough to give a description of “boy, this one topic had the most questions and I felt like it was skimmed over in my review course”.

Basically if you have to even ask the question, assume you shouldn't.

If you are going to discuss exam content at least be smart enough to do it privately. When I took the last section I watched the test center lady tell a candidate that he could still sit for the test because prometric doesn't decide on disciplinary action, but that she would have to report his behavior. This clown was very clearly and loudly discussing specific test questions. Gotta love it.

I mean, I told a friend that I felt unprepared in a particular topic.. But it's not like anyone wouldn't know that topic is on the exam.. I mean, (and this wasn't the topic I felt unprepared in) it's like saying “Hey, guess what? The CPA exam tests bonds! Gasp!”

I'm talking very generally speaking. Like I could even remember what specific questions asked..

@Sandra – Are you serious? WOW HAHAHA.. Thats kind of funny.

But anyways, I don't think people really take the non disclosure thing seriously in real life. Maybe on this board they do, but between friends/students.. yeah not a chance…

Totally serious- the look on the kids face was priceless.

I agree that test disclosure happens all the time and I also agree that its not super helpful, even though people seem to think it is. I think there are so many MCQ and SIM combos that its unlikely you'll see anything specific repeated, but I guess the overall trend of the test may stay the same. From reading this board I did know which topics were heavily tested on BEC. I still didn't focus on those topics so I don't know what that says about me, but that info could have been pretty helpful really.

I agree with Sandra. There's just so many different questions that no one is gonna have the same test as their friends anyways, so who cares if a couple of good friends share what they were tested on? We all help each other on these boards too, and your CPA review course will tell you whats gonna be heavily tested on as well. I don't think its a big deal.
