Please share your experience as well. I had the pleasure of visiting a very well established place of business. The upper levels offices were plush, high-end with swievel chairs, credenzas, tables, etc. Pictures taken with high government officials on the Federal level, etc. I said Wow! I wanted to know where the CPAs were located. I was told the offices up-stairs housed the Executive level – Marketing, Sells and other Management Staff. We went downstairs and there was in the corner away from the elevator, a small cold cyclinder bricked painted beige walls – 4 cramped desk to sit these professionals with their CPA placques taped to wall above their desk – 1 desk per wall….I said WOW!!!!

PASS! PASS! PASS!

That has not been the norm on my clients. For my clients, the finance and accounting departments are usually located right next to the CEO or Executive director, while other departments are far away and forgotten.

@OP…I would rather to be a CPA and stay away from the CEO office as far as possible…Yes, you can have all high-end toys at your office, but you also have your boss' eyes watching your back. I will trade that anytime!
