    Hey guys!

I just sat for bec this morning. It was my first test so I don’t know how to feel or gauge my performance. I don’t feel bad and think Becker did a good job of covering 95% of the topics asked. I’m sitting for FAR on august 20 but realize it will be a different kind of studying since there are sims. Any tips on how to study and retain the large amount of information in far? Any tips would be appreciated!

    BEC 7/9/10: 86
    FAR 8/24/10: 83
    AUD 10/1/10: 93
    REG 11/19/10: 89

Review prior material regularly – you don't want to find out that you don't remember what you studied at the beginning. Progress tests if you use Becker would be helpful.

cpa journey is right. with so much material in FAR you need to piecemeal the information and schedule time to review prior material constantly or you will forget it. I used Becker's progress test constantly during FAR studying. For example while I was studying F2, I would do progress test everyday for F1. It is only about 10 questions or so so it did not take very long to do 1 or 2 times everyday while you were studying F2. Like every 3 chapters I would take a couple of days to do nothing but progress test on the previous chapters. If I started scoring below 70% on any section then I went back to that chapter to review the material again before continuing on.

As far as the sims go, if you know the material you shouldn't have any problems with the sims. However since this is your first exam with sims, I would go through every Becker simulation if all I did was to read the tabs and maybe do a tab here or there and then read the answers. I always did the research tab since that was usually quick to do. Nothing else, doing this gave me a feel of how a simulation for any particular subject could be presented.

    Good Luck Studying.
