I took BEC in last Aug anf failed with a 60. I truely believe that my issue was that I studied BEC for 3 months and took severaly breaks in between. I rushed through my final review also. I strickly used the GLEIM homestudy but based on my learning style I am going to buy the Yeager HS. My goal this year was to take and pass two sections. I can devote about 17-22 hours a week to studying but I will be on vacation with my wife for a week and half the begiinning of October. My dilemma is should I devote all of my remaining studying hours to FAR or to BEC & AUD? Here are my options:

    1) Study FAR the rest of the testing window and take it late November which will be about 8 weeks of studying. I have already completed 8 of 20 subunits in Gleim, but I should receive the Yeager HS by the end of this week.

    2) Study AUD and take it Nov. 8 (about 5 1/2 weeks of studying) and then retake BEC Nov. 30 (about 3 1/2 weeks of studying).

I like the second option since I feel like it would be better to pass (hopefully) two sections that are changing than just one.

    What do you think?

    BEC - 60, 71, 79
    AUD - 73, 66, 87!!!!! Yes! I am done!
    REG - 74, 76
    FAR - 75

Yaeger Review for all except my last AUD score (Roger)!

Well for me (everyone is different), I would change my test date for FAR to be the end of Oct./Beg. of November and then sit for your BEC retake at the end of november. You can study for the FAR test with Yaeger in 6 weeks, which is what you have till the end of October… Then I would study for my BEC retake for 3 weeks and take it before thanksgiving… Being so far along in your FAR studies helps support this opinion. Like I said everyone is different, but that is what I would do..

    BEC: 73,81(7/6/2010); AUD: 75(5/24/2010); FAR: 76(8/31/2010); REG: 77 (10/18/2010) - DONE!!!!

So the six weeks for FAR in Yeager is just the videos right?

    BEC - 60, 71, 79
    AUD - 73, 66, 87!!!!! Yes! I am done!
    REG - 74, 76
    FAR - 75

No six weeks could be total study time and review time. Yaeger FAR videos are like 46 hours total I believe. You could do that and all the minimum assigned MCQs in probably a month and then give yourself 2 weeks to review. There is your 6 weeks!

I would probably do what Trevor suggested as well. Since you are already deep into your FAR studies…you shouldn't stop and bounce to something else. Take FAR beginning of Nov. and then retake BEC end of November. Worry about AUD later because you haven't even started studying for it.

If you aren't using Yaeger for BEC…I would STRONGLY recommend it. After 2 failed attempts at BEC with Becker, I switched to Yaeger and passed with a 79.

    AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

Right, six weeks total. Especially if you can put in the 20 hrs… I agree w/MPoni that you could do the lectures and MCQ's in 4 weeks leaving you 2 weeks for Final review, which should be plenty…

    BEC: 73,81(7/6/2010); AUD: 75(5/24/2010); FAR: 76(8/31/2010); REG: 77 (10/18/2010) - DONE!!!!
