Well I am new here, and new to both the CPA and the accounting profession, I had a previous bachelor’s degree and took some college accounting classes and now I am in trouble, I qualified to take the exam and overwhelmed by the content. I have never worked in accounting before, but I love accounting and the main reason I couldn’t get accounting job because I had no degree in accounting plus no job experience in the US as I just moved to the states 3 years ago. Long story short, am I crazy? I feel like almost all CPA candidates are accountants. I trust my guts but the fact that I am going for one of the most difficult as I heard exams with no job experience made me question my choice, of course I will know it in just a month when I set for FAR, but meanwhile my confidence is jumping up and mostly down! I feel like there are not enough MCQ’s in becker and of course they charge more for that. Any idea where I can get affordable MCQ’s I really like to do them and it is my best way to understand the material! thanks in advance and any opinion is welcome!

    karri2008,

My suggestion is to worry about one exam at a time. You are talking about audit like you are reviewing multiple exams all at one time. The audit exam can be passed by anyone who can do 1,000's of multiple choice questions while reading over the explanations with an alert focused mind. None of the exams felt extremely difficult to me after hundreds of hours of study. These exams can be achieved by anyone who can invest the time. Over study for your first exam by scoring in the 90% range on the multiple choice questions,by thoroughly understanding the book/videos you are using, and you will see that these exams are not that scary. I am not that smart of a guy and I scored a 91 on audit.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
