Greetings to those CPAs who are in New York State. I am currently considering transferring my credits over to New York State after completion of all 4 exams.

Hence, I am wondering does NYS accept transfers from another state like New Hampshire? Specifically someone like myself without a CPA license.

Also, with regard to the NYS’ 150 credits requirement, it does not have to be a Master degree, right?

I could take any additional courses (including online courses) related to any subject from a recognized college or university, since I already have 45 accounting credits and 66 business credits, comparing to the NYS’ requirement of 33 accounting credits and 36 business credits

    Many thx!

I don't think NH is a comparable state. I would contact NYS to see what you need to do:

    •Voice: 518-474-3817

    •Email:op4info@mail.nysed.gov

    BEC (11/10) 77 (Bisk)
    FAR 7/2 - 63 11/5 - 80 (Yeager - Fail, Becker - Pass)
    Reg (08/11) - 78 (Yeager)
    Aud - 11/29 - 78(Yeager)

@rgibson3rd: thank you for ur reply.

I just called the New York State Board of Accountacy, they said that New Hampshire State is transferrable to New York State, but I have to take additional courses to meet the 150 credits requirements for license.

The 4 examination scores won't expire for 10 years, after that period without the 1 yr work experience, u might be required to take additional Continuing Education Requirements.

    Thank God!
