I passed ny last section. Do I wait for a package to be mailed to me with forms to be filled out or should I take it upon myself to call Someone to see what my next step is? If so who do I contact.

    Thanks for the help

    Forms can be found here….

    https://www.op.nysed.gov/prof/cpa/cpaforms.htm

Don't wait for the congratulatory letter. It will just give you that link. They will not mail you any forms.

Thanks. Is it just form 4 and 4B? The other forms are the initial that i must have filled out to be eligible to sit for the exams, correct?

To be honest. I'm not sure. I haven't filled anything out yet as I still need to complete my 1 year work experience before I can apply for licensure. Hopefully, someone else here knows and can help. I'd like to know myself. I think I already filled out the Education form before I took the exams, but I don't remember 100%. Heh!

After all the money I spent on exams and materials they want another 360 bucks to get licensed? I'm not sure which forms and which fees to be paid

I'm looking at form 1,2,4,4B And a few others. You think they would make this more user friendly and tell us exactly what to do and which forms to send in. I'm thinking not all f these are neccesary for me.

maybe form 1 and 2 that im looking at are the initial forms i had to fill out to be eligible to sit for the exams… thats a possibility. just want to make sure.

@herbie—did you wait for them to send you a packet or congrats letter, or did you just send in form 4 and 4b as soon as you passed your last part??

I remember completing Form 1 before I took my exams. I dont think I submitted Form 2 because all my education was completed within the US, so I only had my college send them my official transcripts.

On form 4b. Do we need a certain percentage of audit experience or do the percentages not matter much? I have enough. I just want to make sure the percentages that are allocated between audit, internal/governmental, and financial statement prep are appropriate. There is also some allocated to tax prep and bookkeeping. Is it still 75% audit? And if so does the audit and governmental/internal and finianxial statement prep All count towards tHat 75%?

@ihatestudying- They did away with the 75% audit requirement. All they say is that you need to work under the direct supervision of a CPA. They're really vague on what type of work is required. I'm assuming that if your responsibilities fall under one or more of those categories, then you're good. Obviously, if you're working for a CPA firm or a job that wants to certify you, then they will give you the proper work that you need to get certified.

If you can't figure it out, call them. If you don't have time to call, someone in your office should be able to provide you with that information. Either your professional development dep't or someone who has done it previously.
