hey hey!

my name is Shadi and i’m from the Central Coast of California!

i graduated from Cal Poly, SLO last December and have finally decided to take the plunge into the CPA madness. i just ordered FAR material (1 part now and then homestudy) from Yaeger (which comes in on friday and i’m actually really excited!) and i’m hoping to sit for that first exam in Jan/Feb. then, hoping to sit one exam per window and, God-willing, get the exams done in 2012. i had been working in a bank for the last 9 months and i just transitioned into a job in the accounting department of a local start-up software company.

seems like a great community on here and i’m hoping to be involved and learn from all the wisdom. i used to be really into a bmw forum, but i figure that accounting has to be my new obsession if i stand any chance at passing these exams :]

Hello Shadi,

The CPA exam is not a test of brilliance, but of perserverance. You can do it. I hope to finish is 2012 also, with my first exam FAR in January.
