Never gonna grasp all of FAR

    So I failed FAR in January with a miserable 73. I took this week off from work to put a last review before I sit for it again. So far I’m in F3, but I honestly have come to realize that it’s just illogical trying to grasp everything like I did for all the 3 other sections. It’s too much stuff, on my previous try I ended up with more than 150 pages of notes, I got to the point where I couldn’t even locate certain points I had written days before. I think that I’ll am gonna do is try to cover as much material as possible and just hope I can carry a 75. On the other sections I was able to literally cover everything two weeks before and passed them on the first try. This section is now literally eating away my previous scores, it already made my BEC expire and my AUD score expire also. I got REG left as passed until it expires also in AUgust. Every time I lose a section a small part of me dies with it 😩😩😩 these tests take so much time and effort to pass and seeing them expire is a huge slap to my ego.
    I won’t give up, but it does wear on you some times. Plus, with the new version scores won’t be available until August so I will be blindly testing without knowing whether I passed anything or not. FML

    Wow I am so sorry for you. It has to be tough to lose 2 sections.

    Thanks @cessnapilot30,

    Yes @tud20551, it's bad, I knew FAR was hard but the company I work for paid for all the Exam expenses, so I wanted to show them I could pass everything on the first try and I didn't wanted to get stuck from the Getco but now I'm paying the price 😑😑😑

    The first 3 sections of FAR are the worst without a doubt. If you can solidify those 3 sections, everything else gets way easier. I put tons of time into nonmonetary exchanges, foreign currency BS, and construction accounting stuff because it gave me such a hard time initially. It's easy to get overwhelmed by FAR, especially if you're using Becker. I love the software, but the material isn't really broken down into bite-sized pieces. Once you can trick yourself into thinking you WANT to learn FAR, it will become easier too. As far as motivation goes… Remember, Peter Olinto's free cup of coffee is waiting for us all on the other side.

    Hey Martinann – good job on those passes even if they do expire. Tells you without a doubt, that you can do it and shows you that if you just reorganize your study process just a little, you will have success. Overcoming these expirations with repasses will feel amazing trust me.

    I had every section expire except for REG. At the time I was super pissed. Sat myself down and came up with a better study plan and a better set of MCQs (Ninja) for me. Studied the hell out of those and re-passing was not an issue.
    Don't give up just get a little pissed and come back even more motivated.

    FAR. 78(expired/retake 5/9/16)

    @rocklobster,
    Haha, true and that's actually one of my favorite videos from Olinto. You're almost done dude, once you pass reg you're a free man. Good luck 🍀

    @Snickets,
    Looks like you were in the same situation at one point, and yes I've put in too much effort on this process I can't quit now. Thanks
