I am curious as to what your opinion is.

Scenario: You took REG on 2/25 and will be receiving your score on or around 3/8 and begain studying for FAR on 2/29. These are your last 2 tests. Nine days into studying FAR, you found out you failed REG with a score in the 70’s.

Qyestion: Would you continue studying for FAR and take FAR in Apring and REG in May? Or stop studying FAR and begin your study on REG to take again in April and then study to take FAR in May?

I agree. For several reasons. 1) It's fresh in your mind. 2) If one section gets pushed into the next window you don't want it to be REG because that's a lot more time to forget what you already know. 3) If you sit for REG April 1, you have two months for FAR prep. That's better than one month for FAR and two for REG or some other ratio. 4) I know a lot of people discount this, but I'm of the opinion that I don't want to sit for FAR after 4/15 when all the tax people are freed up.

But jenuno's right. Think positive. You absolutely can't possibly predict the outcome unless you know how everybody else in the testing window did (which of course no one does). If you didn't pass, at least you got a week of rest. Best of luck to you.

    AUD - 88
    FAR - 90
    REG - 85
    BEC - 88

    Doug is awesome!

I also agree with Katie! I don't care what people say, I firmly believe the 1st testing window of the year is the best to take the CPA exams….or before April 15th, I don't stand a chance against all those tax geniuses (ugh), I should've taken REG this window…here's to bombing REG multiple times in 2012…lol jk like I said, stay positive!

So should I just rest until I find out my REG score or listen to lectures and take notes?
