    Hello everyone,

I just took Far (my first CPA exam) on April 21st and found out I failed (a 71!). Unfortunately, during that time period my grandma got a bad stroke and for the last 2 weeks I haven’t been studying.

I am starting to get a grip back on reality and am going to start studying again on Monday.

The question is: Should I study for AUD first and take it early July…and than study for FAR and take it at the end of the testing window?

    Appreciate any help.

I recommend re-studying for FAR while it is still fresh in your mind. It's a beast and considering you are only a few points away, you can get it out of the way first. Also, I would recommend doing as many MCQs as possible… Practice practice practice..

    FAR - 85 (4/12/13)
    REG - 85 (7/18/2013)
    AUD - 89 (10/7/2013)
    BEC - 84 (11/27/2013)

I would also recommend re-studying for FAR. Do tons of MC and take ones on the MC questions…especially what makes a question right when you got it wrong.

    You can do it!

Study hard for FAR and re-take it while you're still familiar with most of it, at the end of this testing window. Plus your exam experience is recent so you'll have a better idea of what to expect rather than venturing into a brand new territory. Sorry about your grandma, study hard and make her proud!

AUD is changing in July so it's not going anywhere

    REG - 72, 72, 81
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 70, 81
    AUD - 74 "so that's what it feels like." Round 2: 79

Passing the exam is not impossible task. GIVING UP is the only way YOU can make it impossible!

You were very close on FAR, so stick with it!!!! I'm sorry to hear about your grandma, it's never easy to watch a loved one go through something like that! Take care of FAR while it's fresh and let the providers like Becker, Wiley, Another71, etc. get their materials up to speed for the audit changes and then worry about audit.

Have a power weekend with us and plow through some serious material this weekend!!!! πŸ™‚
