Just started studying today. I have a good base of accounting knowledge and work experiece. I am a dedicated studyer working full time. My question is related to when to schedule. I have a vacation planned for the first week of August. I would love to take the test 7/31 and be done before vacation bit not sure if this is realistic with only 60 days. I dont want to wait untill 8/31 for two reasons, 3 months of hell seems like too much and taking it after vacation when I know I wont study that week scares me. What should I do? I cant really move the vacation week because of family logistics etc. Crank it out and do it 7/31 or wait untill 8/31. Having too much time seems to work against me. Thoughts from my friends?

I can only relate to how I did it, but it was also my first exam AND I was taking a class, so we were scheduled for 1 chapter per week plus Final Review. That took me 12 weeks, then I added a week of review before the exam just to make sure. With working full time I would not have been able to handle doing it any quicker as there is just SO MUCH material. But I also spent lots of time taking notes and making flashcards. Not sure how you generally study. If you can make it through 1.5 chapters a week you could probably do it. Personally I'd rather spend the time on it and get it down solid, maybe just trying to review flashcards while on vacation, if that's possible. But each person attacks these things differently. I hate being rushed and feeling like I don't really have a good handle on things. And I certainly would do whatever I felt it took not to have to take it a second time, if at all possible!
