Can anyone recommend a good source to use to beef up my knowledge of IFRS for FAR. I used becker and wiley and I feel like they both basically left me with my pants around my ankles on exam day. The breath of questions I received was far more indepth than what I was expecting.

Any suggestions???

I used a 2009 or 2010 Becker book, so the IFRS stuff wasn't in there yet. However, I have the Wiley book as well and I thought they did a good job with the IFRS to prepare me for the test. To clarify, I actually mean the text of the Wiley book (not the MC) since they give a few paragraphs to summarize key IFRS vs. GAAP differences at the end of each module. I don't think this translated so well to their MC questions, so if you only did the MC, it was probably not very similar to what you saw on the test. My recommendation would be to read / learn the text part. Since the IFRS material on the tests is still relatively new, I didn't really trust that the MC questions would be identical / similar to what I saw on the test.

I used NIU Correspondence CPA Review (cpareview.niu.edu) and I thought that Debra did an incredible job with the IFRS preparation. There wasn't much I wasn't prepared for, overall, and IFRS.

You can try to see if you can get just the IFRS lectures/handouts. Debra Hopkins is the director of the CPA review (dhopkins@niu.edu).
