I recently started looking for jobs a few weeks ago. Been searching on indeed, Craigslist, and have contacted a few recruiters but have not had much luck. For some reason I was getting more phone interviews when I was applying while I was still in school. I though I might try posting on here to see if any of you in Chicago work at a firm that is looking to hire.

I have a pretty good GPA (3.91), have relevant accounting experience (work & internship), and I’ve held many leadership positions. I’m also a quick learner and highly motivated.

Are you looking to work in public accounting? Tax or Audit? Have you passed the CPA exam? Just curious…..this will help me answer the question better……..

I will be applying for jobs in the Chicago area very soon, and if a person like you with accounting work experience can not find a job, what will happen to a person like me with no accounting experience? Are you applying in the downtown area or in the Chicago surbs? I always put in the Orland Park zip code on indeed and always seen ton of jobs within 20 miles. I used to live in Orland Park few years back and currently in Ohio.
